The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating revenue from new sources. This candidate will work with some of the most innovative and creative professionals in the Seattle market and will focus primarily on special events and to target organizations like golf tournaments, races, concert series, large multi-day travelling events, roadshows, product launches, government and military events, etc. Responsibilities include building repeat and referral accounts by identifying new business opportunities, site surveys, planning, and continuous relationship building with our internal and external customers.  Growing the business in a sustainable, profitable, year round manner will be accomplished by consistently performing and promoting the following job criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively pursues new revenue opportunities.
  • Identify and build client base with effective networking and marketing to utilize the many resources CORT offers.
  • Prepares and delivers sales presentations to key decision makers and committees.
  • Accurately prepares quotes and contracts that are complete with diagrams and detailed installation and removal instructions. Works with clients to ensure orders are accurate and handles revisions and additions in a timely manner.
  • Belong to one association group and attend regular networking meetings.
  • Follow company and district procedures to protect information security and company assets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 years of outside sales experience
  • Previous event industry knowledge required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, or procedure manuals
  • Ability to problem solve, collect data and draw valid conclusions
  • This position may require occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of 60lbs. 
  • This position will require late night and weekend work to attend networking events, or make walk-through of certain scheduled deliveries
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft programs
