    CORT Business Services is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join the team as the Regional HR Manager, based in Dallas, Texas. 


    The Regional HR Manager will work with the Group Vice Presidents of Sales and Operations to provide counsel, advice, and direction on all aspects of HR.  The Regional HR Manager also will work with employees and management to solve problems and to assist in policy, procedure, and practice of HR Systems.  This position will provide direction regarding Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, employee rewards, and compliance with employment law.   The Regional HR Manager will be responsible for a region that includes Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.  The position offers growth opportunities to take on additional responsibilities. 



    Prefer candidate to be located in Dallas or Houston.  Relocation is not being offered for this position.


    • Raising proactive issues with managers, identifying practical solutions to complex and diverse HR issues, and recommending appropriate action plans.
    • Managing employee investigations including documentation and disposition.
    • Consulting new managers on the policies and procedures of an organization in conjunction with development and learning team, providing coaching to managers on difficult and complex issues.
    • Liaising with recruitment team on salary levels for existing and prospective staff consistent with organization market conditions and policies.
    • Reviewing and revising HR policies in compliance with changing or new legislation.
    • Working with Senior HR Leadership to develop personnel policies, maintaining and updating policy manuals as well as employee handbooks as needed.
    • Organizing and conducting employee testing and recruitment programs.
    • Collecting ongoing information regarding satisfaction of employee on salary packages and wage, working conditions, etc. and communicating with your leadership.
    • Keeping managers informed as to issues with employees and supervision which affect work performance and compliance with policy.
    • Conducting new employee orientation program and other educational and training programs on changes in benefits, diversity, etc.
    • Assisting employees with Benefit Questions and Issues as needed.
    • Developing relationships with employees so as to be able to assist in mediating and solving employee complaints.
    • Providing objectivity in employee relations issues.
    • Utilizing outside resources in order to monitor issues and concerns in employment law,communicating potential changes to senior management.
    • Traveling to districts when and as needed (within state and out of state by car or air travel).

    • Providing pragmatic and consistent guidance and advice to managers on grievance, attendance, disciplinary, and performance issues.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Administration, Business Administration, or related field and/or experience.
    • A minimum of 8-10 years of HR experience.
    • At least 5-7 years of experience working with the Workers’ Compensation process.
    • At least 3-5 years of Training and Organizational Development (OD) experience.
    • Experience in a medium to large company with multiple locations.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade senior management level as a business partner.
    • Strong Employee Relations experience.
    • Collaborative nature.
    • Self-starter and able to work independently.
    • Pragmatic problem-solving skills.
    • Articulate communicator and ability to interpret and explain written and statistical data to a wide range of audiences.
    • High standard of attention to detail.
    • Solid commitment to customer or employee service.
    • Ability to convey difficult and challenging information to managers.
    • Competent in Microsoft Office skills like Word, Outlook, and Excel.
    • Ability to manage time and prioritize work as this role is autonomous in nature.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Bilingual - (Able to speak both English and Spanish)
    • PHR/SPHR certification preferred or equivalent certification under SHRM or HRCI.
