    Are you an experienced HR leader who would like to work in the fast paced Tradeshow and Events Industry?  Do you enjoy working with employees on show floor as much as you like working with senior leaders running the business.  Do you enjoy the challenge of helping leadership develop new leaders to continue the success of this business?  Do you want to work in an environment where you are considered an integral part of the business and not just a staff member?  If so, CORT Business Services is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join the team as the Senior HR Manager, for our Tradeshows and Events business based in Las Vegas, Nevada.    


    The Senior HR Manager will work with the Group Vice President and the Executive Director of Sales and Operations to provide counsel, advice, and direction on all aspects of HR.  The Senior HR Manager also will work with employees and management to solve problems and to assist in policy, procedure, and practice of HR Systems.  This position will provide direction regarding Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, employee rewards, and compliance with employment law.   The Senior HR Manager will be responsible for a Division that includes locations in 12 different cities in the United States.  The position offers growth opportunities as our Tradeshow and Events business is a dynamic growing business within CORT. 






    •   Raising proactive issues with managers, identifying practical solutions to complex and diverse HR issues, and recommending appropriate action plans.
    •  Managing employee investigations including documentation and disposition. 
    •   Consulting with managers on the policies and procedures of an organization in conjunction with development and learning team, providing coaching to managers on difficult and complex issues.
    •   Liaising with recruitment team on salary levels for existing and prospective staff consistent with organization market conditions and policies.
    •   Reviewing and revising HR policies in compliance with changing or new legislation.
    •   Working with Senior HR Leadership to develop personnel policies, maintaining and updating policy manuals as well as employee handbooks as needed.
    •   Collecting ongoing information regarding satisfaction of employee on salary packages and wage, working conditions, etc. and communicating with your leadership.
    •   Conducting new employee orientation program and other educational and training programs on changes in benefits, diversity, etc.
    •   Developing relationships with employees so as to be able to assist in mediating and solving employee complaints.
    •   Utilizing outside resources in order to monitor issues and concerns in employment law, communicating potential changes to senior management.
    •   Traveling to districts when and as needed


    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Administration, Business Administration, or related field and/or experience.
    • A minimum of 5-10 years of HR experience.
    • At least 5-7 years of experience working with the Workers’ Compensation process.
    • At least 3-5 years of Training and Organizational Development (OD) experience.
    • Experience in a medium to large company with multiple locations.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade senior management level as a business partner.
    • Strong Employee Relations experience.
    • Collaborative nature.
    • Self-starter and able to work independently.
    • Pragmatic problem-solving skills.
    • Articulate communicator and ability to interpret and explain written and statistical data to a wide range of audiences.
    • High standard of attention to detail.
    • Solid commitment to customer or employee service.
    • Ability to convey difficult and challenging information to managers.
    • Competent in Microsoft Office skills like Word, Outlook, and Excel.
    • Ability to manage time and prioritize work as this role is autonomous in nature.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Bilingual - (Able to speak both English and Spanish)
    • PHR/SPHR certification preferred or equivalent certification under SHRM or HCI.
